How many people fill out Form Publication 1281 each year?
How many people who apply for them? Are any names withheld? What are the odds that they will ever be asked about a Form 1098? Or their Social Security number? No one knows. No one has been able to figure it out. And so we now do not know which of these forms might have been misused in the way that we've just explained. The first thing is, there seems to be a pattern between Form 1098-T and Form 4668 and Form W-2, where the employer gets no tax information, or only a very incomplete one, or none at all. How many people fill out Form 1098-T? How many people fill out Form 4668? What would be the odds that these forms were used for identity theft or tax fraud or some other type of theft? And how many of these might have been victims? So the first thing to point out is that there is a pattern between the Forms 1098-T and the two forms that are the basis of the Obama administration's claims that the IRS had not targeted any groups. Form 1098-T was required for individuals filing their taxes for the first time from June 15, 2010, to May 12, 2011. Form 4668 was required from October 18, 2010, to June 20, 2012. If you're curious, here's a list of the last 10 sets of 1098-T's issued: Form 1097 was required from April 7, 2010, to November 4, 2010 Form 1098-T was required to be issued during the same June 15, 2010, date range (April 7, 2010, to June 12, 2010) Form 4668 was required for individuals submitting their taxes on July 18, 2010, to November 16, 2010 That list also included a total of nine sets for June 15, 2010, May 3, 2011, October 18, 2010, June 29, 2011, October 27, 2010, December 28, 2010, November 6, 2011, and May 12, 2011. So there are a total of 19 sets of Forms 1098-T issued during a period when a massive IRS scandal is being investigated (see below), with one set issued at a time, to all individual taxpayers -- and 19 sets during a period when an individual taxpayer was targeted. That's not a coincidence.
Is there a due date for Form Publication 1281?
Yes. Publication 1281 must be mailed to the IRS or posted on its website, within 5 business days of the due date of Form 2441. To ensure proper submission of Form Pub 1281, please use the following checklist. If you filed Form 2441 on or before April 15, 2012, do what you can to correct any errors listed in the checklist. If you filed Form 2441 after April 15, 2012, or if your return was not filed on time for 2013, you may have a correction in one of the following ways: Use Form 433-EZ to correct any errors that the IRS or your preparer reported on your statement of income or federal tax return. Add, delete, or modify items from the statement of income. Correct tax computations that the IRS or your preparer reported (i.e., payee's name, amount reported, amount paid or credited, and payment amount) from Form 2441. Report an additional liability (e.g., tax deficiency) for 2013 from your return. If you have not received a complete and accurate Form 2441, you may be able to correct some of your errors with Form 433-EZ. You may want to contact an independent tax preparer. If you are unable to obtain a complete Form 2441, you may file Form 982, Certification of Correction of Overstatements Due to New Error or Deficiency Based on Information Provided by the Internal Revenue Service. If you are unable to obtain Form 982, you may complete and file a corrected Form 2229. What does the deadline to file Form 2555 be? The filing deadline for each federal income tax return with a deadline of April 15 is due on or before that due date. However, the IRS can consider the return filed after the due date as filed on time if it is a timely filed return and all required information is received by the IRS. How much of my refund will the IRS receive? If your refund is not sufficient to fully offset the overpayment of tax due, the refund will be reduced by the amount overpayment, up to the amount of the refund. The amount of the rebate you have to claim will be shown on Form 2441.
